Corrosion protection of weld seams in heavily loaded marine structures
The preparation and coating of weld seams is a decisive, but also laborious and expensive working step for the corrosion protection of marine structures.
The following issues are addressed in the SKAla project:
– Development of the application of the emission-free treatment of weld seams with lasers on marine structures.
– Introduction of a procedure for the application of a weld seam-tolerant coating system under production conditions.
– Investigations of the interactions between laser-treated weld seams & protection performance of the developed coating.
