The First 100 Years
Right at the moment of its founding in 1881, Muehlhan already formed part of a long tradition of companies operating in and around the north-German port of Hamburg. In addition to steam-boiler cleaning, the company’s wide range of services included, by the year 1910, such items as vessel cleaning and insulation and other shipping requirements.
The company has always sought perfection in its own services, while striving to achieve constant improvements to both productivity and quality. Innovations such as special suction and coating techniques or the fine-tuning of its dry-blasting process helped turn Muehlhan into the company that first registered its brand internationally in 1981.
